Conker Hill Establishment

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Conker Hill Establishment

New York, NY – September 2007 – Entering Conker Hill, it is immediately clear that the bar is not your run-of-the-mill Irish watering hole.

Combining the best of old and new world design, the pub is at once rustic, with its eco-conscious, reclaimed wood floors and exposed brick walls, yet modern, with flourishes and innovative elements throughout.

Pendulum lighting casts a warm glow throughout the red and blue interior, evoking images of sitting by the hearth, enjoying a pint; a collapsible seating area lines the periphery of the walls. As the evening gathers momentum, the tables fold up, turning the pub into standing-room only status in a matter of minutes. Better yet, if you’re seated on the “game-side” of the pub (dart board, chess) at one of the over-sized round, red banquettes that are raised on platforms, you can talk eye to eye with patrons without ever leaving your seat.

On beautiful summer days, the sun cascades through the glass storefront window. While new visitors are certainly welcome, it is the regulars that are the mainstay of this establishment. To celebrate their patronage, the wall is lined with personalized mailboxes for storing personal tidbits such as darts, money or that extra key to your apartment.
